Do I need to know anything about Mahjong?
No. Jade Hand is designed for people who may not know the tiles, vocabulary, rules, or table customs. We begin at the beginning and explain without judgment.
Is the goal to play with other people?
Yes. The current preview is private local practice, not multiplayer. The larger purpose is to help more people feel comfortable joining real tables, building community, socializing, and having fun.
Can I play American Mah Jongg now?
The preview explains the current card’s role, the Charleston, Jokers, and turn rhythm, but it does not reproduce official hand patterns or activate American gameplay. That work waits for current official material, written permission, and independent rules review.
What can I practice?
A clearly labeled Hong Kong Classical v1 path connects shape lessons, whole-hand decisions, guided turns, call practice, bounded payments, and deterministic local matches.
Is this a public release?
Not yet. Version 0.10.18 is an invited evaluation build. App access requires an authorized Vercel account while owner, rules, privacy, rights, and true-novice reviews remain open.
